Another Chance

Another Chance

Its been said that God is the God of a second chance. What happens, however, when you need a third fourth, and fifth chance? Therefore, many ministers and theologians have concluded that God is a God of Another Chance.

(22)”It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. (23)They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV).

Can you image getting another chance from God every morning?

According to Lamentations chapter 3 verses 22 through 23, this is the case. God’s mercies (plural) are abundant toward us. “His compassions fail not,” this speaks of a remarkable God, Judge, and Creator.

This is why we need to take the time to thank Him everyday (preferably every morning) for what He has done and for Who He is.

As we look back over our lives and see how we have failed God and rebelled against God’s ways, it is a wonder that He has not struck us down by now. But “New Every Morning,” suggests that God is giving us another chance and another opportunity to get right with Him. One day, however, that new morning will not come and the opportunities will be done.

Remember, you don’t have an infinite amount of days to live on Earth, but you will have an infinite amount of time to live in eternality. If we fail to take advantage what God offers in Jesus Christ, we will infinitely regret it.

“…Now is the day of salvation.”(2 Corinthians 6:2) we can surrender ourselves to Christ, today and trust that what He did on the cross takes care of all of our sins. When we place this kind of faith in Him, He will cleanse us from all of our sins and give us an assurance of salvation.

What are you waiting for?

Get connected to Him today by asking Him to forgive all of your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Ask Jesus to come into your heart; or if you are a backslider (you were saved but you have spiritually turned your back on Him) ask Him to come back and renew your spirit.

Next, develop a daily routine to talk to Him, meditate on His Word (a scripture or two in the Bible), a love Him through worship. Then, you will infinitely be thankful that you made the right decision.
