In times of turmoil, trials, and testing when all seems hopeless, remember the Lord has His own way of answering our prayers. The Lord’s way may not always make sense to us at first, but when all is said and done and we look back on our trials and tragedies, we can see evidence of how the Lord will make a way through His mighty hand of mercy.
Why is it that the Lord does not always answer our prayers in the way we think that He should, and in the time that we think that He should? Could it be that His way of thinking is far different than our way of thinking? Yes, it is quite different according to scripture in Isaiah 55:8-11, reading from the King James Version bible, we find God saying,
(8)”For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”
(9)”For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
(10)”For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:”
(11)”So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
These are the Lord’s own words explaining the vast difference in His ways compared to our ways and His thoughts compared with our thoughts. As I have said before and I will say it again: The Lord’s vantage point is much greater than our vantage point because He sees all and knows all and we can’t see all or know all. He sees the microscopic while we only see macroscopic. Furthermore, He sees the invisible while we can only recognize the visible; finally, He sees into infinity while we can only see the finite.
How Does The Lord’s Ways Effect Us?
The Lord’s amazing viewpoint and vantage point where He sees all and knows all, allows Him to do the impossible even within the boundaries of His own established Laws. The Lord will make a way where there is no way because He will literally create a way where there is no other way. In fact, being the Creator of the universe, He still knows how to create deliverance for the godly (2 Peter 2:9). This is nothing new for God because and this is why we can depend on Him to deliver and help us.
In addition to creating a way to deliver His people, the Lord will make a way to accomplish His purposes in the Earth, regardless of the circumstances that may be present trying hinder His will. The Bible summarized how this usually happens in Psalms 2:1-5 when it says,
(1)”Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?”
(2)”The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,”
(3)”Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.”
(4)”He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.”
(5)”Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.”(KJV)
Basically, the scripture is saying that we literally have nations and leaders who are plotting against the Lord and His people, but instead of the Lord being worried or concern, He is laughing at the gaul and rank foolishness of His enemies. They don’t know who they are messing with!
God is sitting in the Heavens seeing everything they are doing and laughing, because He understands something very important: that without Him we could do nothing (John 15:5c). The is to say, they can plot and plan all they may, but His plans will be accomplished, regardless. The whole human race, as all other creatures in the universe are Totally and Completely dependent on God.
Always remember that!
In conclusion, let us not be fooled by our serious circumstances, into thinking incorrectly about God’s ability to make things right. Our serious circumstances are so lite weight that God will make a way for us when we dare to believe and to trust Him. Once we are confident in His abilities, which have no equal (by the way), maybe, we too can gain the faith to laugh at trouble, to laugh at trials, and to laugh at the persecution from our enemies because our enemies are, for the most part, God’s enemies!
