Let The Holy Spirit Take Control Of the Service

4477_4477_5If the Holy Spirit is moving in a service in a mighty way we as ministers need to get out of the way and let Him move as He wishes.

If He causes the people to dance, let them dance. If He causes the people to shout, let them shout. If He causes the people to be slain in the Spirit, as long as you know it is the Holy Spirit and not another spirit, let the people be slain in the Spirit. When a leader decides to step in and bring order, He is out of order.

Many ministers will tell you that God is a God of order. And He is; but its His order not necessarily man’s order. If a leader interferes with the moving of the Holy Ghost in order to bring order, than he or she is going against God’s ability to minister to the people. And God can do more in one church service than we can do in a lifetime of ministry. It is God’s order and that is the only order that should count in the church of the Living God.

In 2 Chronicles 5:14, the people of Israel were dedicating the Temple to God. All of a sudden the Spirit of God came in Cloud and descended upon the Temple. The glory of God was so strong that the priest could not stand to minister:

“So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.”(KJV)

When God reveals Himself in a service in a mighty way, that’s it, let the Holy Spirit take control of the service. He will minister to everyone including the ministers. Second Corinthians 3:17 says,

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”(KJV)

When God reveals Himself in a service there is freedom of worship, many people might fall down weeping, some will shout to the glory of God, Others will dance, weep, or speak in tongues. But it is important to note that there will be an air of freedom to express the glory of God that fills each soul.

From a outsider’s perspective, however, this might seem chaotic, disorganized, or just out of order. Yet, when people fill the stadiums of their favorite sports team, they jump and shout, and some even dance when their team is winning. They feel a sense freedom to express the love they have for a team that hits, or throws, or catches some ball in a game that is of little to no benefit to them. Why not get excited for the Creator and Sustainer of your soul?

Furthermore, if this powerful move is of God, then He knows what He is doing and allowing Him to do so is wise. Only a fool would hold a service for God then try to interfere when God shows His approval and visits the service in a mighty way. Just, get out of His way and let the Holy Spirit Take control of the service; period!    A-men

About newc2705

Tim Phillips received Jesus into his heart the day before Easter at age 4 (during his 5th year of life) in 1975. He immediately began preaching in his home as play church. In 1984 he became serious as the Lord revealed to him during a sermon, ...not to just tell people what they are doing wrong, but to tell them ( through the Word) how to do right before God. This revelation caused him to develop the heart of a teacher. He became serious about his "garage church" trying to reach all neighbors within hearing distance. Week after week he taught encourage those who listened to serve God. Later, that year God spoke to him in several dreams confirming his call to preach. In 1986 Tim Phillips began preaching at the church that his family attended. Then, in 1988 he was licensed to preach officially. He has preached and studied the word of God for over 26 years. He has done one-on-one counseling and spiritual guidance during this same period. Recently, he was prompted to launch this site to teach and encourage people to consider their eternal future. Eternality is at hand, some of us are only a breath away. Jesus stands with His arms outstretched ready save you from a future in Hell.
